Wisdom for President, Administration

Our President needs prayer for wisdom from on High, as do his advisors and all who hold government positions, as they make decisions daily that affect millions of people. Let’s pray!

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior.

1 Timothy 2:1-3 ESV

Lord, please protect President Trump and all those in his administration from attacks, illness or harm. Give them Your wisdom, understanding, compassion, urgency and courage to do what is right and good, and to respond to those who oppose them in a way that wins them to wisdom’s side. Guide their every decision, and bring forth the purposes You have for the US and the world. Surround them with people who advise them through Your wisdom, who have the influence and favor to speak truth in a way they can receive. Remove from their favor those who press satan’s or their own agendas, rather than Yours.

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better.

Ephesians 1:17 NIV

Give our President and all those in his administration the longing and the courage to set aside personal gain to seek true riches found only in a personal relationship with You. John 10:10. Empower them to comprehend the riches of Your love, to seek You above any earthly power or gain, and to KNOW You as Lord and Savior. Open their ears to hear Your voice, their eyes to see You as You truly are, and their hearts to receive You.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

James 1:5 ESV

Urge our President and all those in his administration to seek You first before making decisions. Bring them to their knees in prayer, knowing this job they have been given is beyond their ability to do well, that only with Your help will they “make America great again.” Bring into their path Christians who listen to You and follow Your ways. Give these Christians such favor that they are pulled in close around them to offer Your voice in such a way they can receive.

The wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

James 3:17-18 ESV

We ask You, Lord, to press into our President and all government leaders true wisdom from You — wisdom that is sincere and pure, that loves and honors their spouses and families, that upholds the rights of others, that is open to reason and listens to every side and to You before making decisions, that brings forth peace and ends battles on all fronts in a good and right way, that is gentle, impartial and full of mercy for those who are downtrodden and in need. Through Your wisdom in them, make them peacemakers who sow in peace and bring forth a harvest of righteousness. In Your name, Jesus. Amen.
