James 1:12, Revelation 2:10, Philippians 3:7-14
These times are raging into the last days. It’s not about what a great job you have or how comfortable your life is, or even how much freedom your country gives you. It comes down to this:
Do you know the Lord? And will you be found faithful?
Because this time we have here on earth is just the blink of an eye. It’s our one shot to get it right. If we make it about how others treat us or whether or not we get what we want, we’ll miss the crown. James 1:12.
And you’ll need that crown to lay at your King’s feet.
Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:13-14 NIV
Lord, please give us courage to lay down whatever we’ve been holding onto that’s not You. Help us get over ourselves so we can finally get into You. Give us a hunger for You so deep, we make surrender our priority. Then flood us with the power of Your love, overcoming our weaknesses, knocking down our strongholds, and drawing others into You. When that day comes, and I bow before my Beloved, I want to be found faithful to the end.
Prayer for Our Nation
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people — for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”
1 Timothy 2:1-2 (NIV)
Lord, please give every leader in government, business, education, the church and every walk of life courage to lay down whatever we’ve been holding onto that’s not You. Give us such a hunger for You, the lost will turn to You and be saved, those who have wandered from You will return, and those who stand for You will stand all the stronger. Remove from office those who do evil, and give favor to those who follow Your ways.
