KENYA: At least 82 government critics have gone missing, possibly abducted, after a protest began in June, which resulted in the deaths of at least 50 students. This week, dozens of people protesting the alleged abductions were arrested. Pray in the midst of all this turmoil, people will turn to Christ. Pray those missing who are missing will be found. Pray every protesters, detainee, mourning family member, police officers, government leaders, and every heart in Kenya will have such powerful encounters with the Prince of Peace hearts will turn to the Lord, all fighting will cease, and Love will reign.
GAZA: At least four babies have died from cold this past week. Cases of infant hypothermia have increased dramatically, due to lack of food and water for nursing mothers, extended exposure to cold weather for displaced families living in tents, and lack of formula. Pray for protection over children suffering in the midst of war. Pray for warmth, shelter, food, water, formula and medical care for displaced families, but most of all, that every heart will hunger for Truth and find Jesus. Pray God will open the way for Christians to share His love with the lost. Pray He will perform signs and miracles, even multiplying food and medical supplies. Pray He will visit the lost in their dreams and show them the way to salvation.
RUSSIA and UKRAINE: 150 Russian prisoners were exchanged for 150-189 Ukrainian prisoners on Monday. Pray families will be reunited, and that both prisoners who were freed and those still in captivity will encounter the Lord in powerful ways, turn to Him and be saved. Pray every heart involved in this war will hunger for Truth, choose salvation and end the violence.
TRINIDAD and TOBAGO: At least 263 of the 623 homicides recorded this year were gang-related. The spike in deaths led to a country-wide state of emergency declared on Monday. Pray God will meet gang members in powerful ways and draw them to Himself. Pray the violence will cease, families will heal and thousands will come to Christ.
