New Orleans, Ethiopia, Korea and Other News for Prayer

USA: At least 15 died and perhaps 35 were injured in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana, early on New Year’s Day, when a Muslim terrorist drove a pickup truck through barricades and into the crowds for several blocks, while firing at them with a gun, before police killed him. Lord, please heal those who are wounded and comfort families who are grieving. As people cry out to You in fear and anguish, listen to their cries and meet them in powerful ways. Bring Christians to them to love them and help them through this difficult time. Draw them up into Your arms and speak to them words of healing. Meet them in their nightmares, at funerals, and throughout each day and night, showing them Your love and the way of salvation. Save those who are lost and re-ignite a passion for You in the hearts of those who are saved.

ETHIOPIA: At least 71 died and 5 are in critical condition, after a truck carrying a wedding party missed a bridge and plunged into a river last weekend. Pray for healing for the wounded, and that God will comfort those who mourn. Pray He will meet both survivors and mourners in such powerful ways, they will surrender their lives to follow Him. Pray He will bring Christians to them to love, counsel, help and show them His love.

SOUTH KOREA: 179 people died in a plane crash Sunday; only two survived. Pray both survivors and mourners will cry out to the Lord and He will answer them in a way they will know it is Him. Pray He will bring Christians to them to love, counsel, help and show them His love. Pray those who have wandered from Him or have yet to choose Him will give their lives now completely to Him.

USA: At least four people died in severe thunderstorms and tornadoes in Texas, Mississippi and North Carolina last weekend. Pray for families affected by the storms, that they will cry out to the Lord and He will answer them. Pray He will provide for all their needs, bring Christians to them to share His love and help them rebuild, and that many will turn to Him and be saved.
