Loving the Lost – John 3:16

Christ has given so much for us. What will you give for Him? How can you thank Him deeply, not just with your words, but with your life?

The fact that so much of the world still has not heard the good news could be more a love problem than one of restricted access. How deeply do you love? How far are you willing to go to see Christ’s Kingdom come to the ends of the earth? Will you share with your neighbors? With that family from a restricted access country that lives in your city, or even your neighborhood? Will you pray for them?

Before the Lord ever led us overseas, He led us to those from restricted access countries who live in this open one, in the US. They were so curious about this Christ their government had forbidden them to know about that they kept bringing more of their friends to us to hear the gospel and be saved. As they freely chose Christ and we freely discipled those new believers, the Lord was equipping them to return to their home countries and share the good news in their own language.

How is God calling you to love this year, and as 2025 rolls in? Ask Him. Every way you choose to love counts for all eternity. 1 Corinthians 13.

Lord, in what ways do You want me to reach out and share Your love with the nations, especially those who will have no way to hear Your good news if someone who cares doesn’t tell them? Romans 10:14-16. Point out to me those who are in my neighborhood or in my city who do not yet know You, and open up conversations that will give them a hunger for You. Empower me to share with them Your good news in a way they will easily understand. Show me how to reach out to them in love. Shine through me, O Light of the World. In this coming year, are there ways You want me to set aside time to pray for the nations? To fast? To go on a mission trip? To invite my lost neighbors over for dinner? To get involved in helping refugees or migrants in my area? To lead a Bible study? When I look at those You have placed in my path, let me see each person through Your eyes. Empower me to love them as You do. Make me a shining witness of Your mercy and grace. In Your name. Amen.
