Category 4 Cyclone Chido, the worst storm to hit MAYOTTE (French territory in the Indian Ocean) in nearly 100 years, killed at least 11 people this weekend, but possibly hundreds. Entire neighborhoods, especially where people lived in shanties, were wiped out. Pray for families who have lost much, that God will meet them in powerful ways and draw them to Himself.
Perhaps 87,000 people were evacuated this past week due to the volcanic eruption of Mount Kanlaon on central Negros island, PHILIPPINES. Pray God will meet them in their time of difficulty, give every heart a hunger for Him and make the way for them to hear the good news and be saved.
Continue praying for ISRAEL and GAZA, as efforts are being made toward possible ceasefire negotiations with Hamas involving the return of hostages. Meanwhile, fighting broke out in the WEST BANK this weekend, when a Palestinian Islamic Jihad commander, wanted by both Israel and the Palestinian Authority, was killed by PA forces. Pray for both Muslim and Jewish hearts in Palestine to yearn for Christ and be saved.
Continue praying for SYRIA, for the psychological and physical healing of prisoners tortured by the Assad regime, who have now been released by rebels. Pray God will raise up a government that offers freedom to the peoples of Syria, an end to persecution, and open doors for every person to hear the good news and be saved.
Continue praying for the USA government, for wisdom for both the incumbent president and president-elect, as well as other high-ranking government officials, that affect not only this nation but the entire world at this time. Let’s also continue to pray by name for each of those who have been nominated for top government positions under the new administration.
