The authorities that exist have been established by God.” As our president appoints the members of his cabinet and other government positions, we ask You, Lord, to guide him and also the Senate and others as they choose whether to approve of certain positions or not. Meet each of these men and women in powerful ways. Put in place leaders who will hunger for You, do what is right and good, and follow Your lead. Shield them from evil attacks and give them wisdom in all their decisions, relationships, plans and responses. Save those who are lost, and empower those who love You to shine for You and bring forth Your purposes. Do what You desire in this nation and in the world. Pursue every heart with Your love. Lift the veil from our eyes so we will see You as You truly are, lay down whatever we’ve been holding onto that is not You, take up our cross and follow You. (Luke 9:23) Yes, Lord, bring forth a great awakening to the Truth who sets us free. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
