SPAIN: At least 217 have died in heavy flooding over the past week in Valencia, and yet more rain has covered those searching for survivors.

INDONESIA: A series of volcanic eruptions Monday on the island of Flores burned houses, including a convent of Catholic nuns, killing at least 10 people and affecting about 10,000 in ten villages.

INDIA: A bus plummeted over the edge of a cliff in Uttarakhand in the Himalayas, killing at least 36 people Monday.

COMOROS: A boat carrying around 30 migrants capsized on Friday, killing 25; five were rescued by fishermen.

UKRAINE-RUSSIA: Newsweek (November 4) reported that around 8,000 troops from NORTH KOREA have been deployed to fight against Ukraine. At least in one unit, they fired against the Russians instead. Other media reports say the NK troops are underfed and poorly trained.

GAZA: Media reports over 50 children were killed this past weekend in Jabalia, and more than 16,700 total have died in the Strip since the war began a year ago.

Lord, please have mercy on these nations and the people affected by so much disaster and violence. Rescue and heal those in harm’s way. Comfort those who have lost homes and loved ones. Show them Your love in powerful ways. Make a way for Your good news to reach the lost in a way they can easily understand and receive. Open the doors wide for Christian aid workers to come in bringing food, medical supplies, counselors, doctors and others to help families through each crisis. We speak LIFE over the children, Lord, in Your precious name. PEACE over these countries. And most of all, SALVATION for the many dying daily without the knowledge of Christ. Make the way for every person all throughout these devastated lands to hear the gospel and receive You as Savior. Use Christians in their midst to shine Your love and peace, bringing hope and showing mercy. May Your Kingdom come to them soon, Lord, before it’s too late. Awaken this world to Your love. Draw every person up into Your arms and save them.
