US Gubernatorial Elections 2024

Results from a recent survey reveal that millions of Christians are unlikely to vote in the present Presidential election. (See tomorrow’s post.)

But President is not the only position on the ballots. Those who vote will also determine who sits in the Senate, House of Representatives and as Governor of several states, including other key issues.

Let’s pray for all candidates by name and for every citizen, especially those who love God, to listen to His lead and partner with Him in His plans for our nation’s future.

Lord, please give every person voting in this election wisdom from You and block any fraud. Bring forth the results You desire. Expose every lie and trample it with truth. Dishearten those who have been faithful to causes that are not Yours, so they will vote for what is right and good, what brings about life and freedom and hope and peace, rather than corruption, oppression, persecution, abuse and death. Raise into place governors who will bless their states and territories, not oppress them. Who will follow Heaven’s plans for their citizens, not Satan’s. Who will protect their citizens, not put them in harm’s way. Who will make wise choices, led by You, not by their own selfish gain or fear of man. May every candidate bow not to political agendas or to fear, but to You alone. Pursue them with Your love. Speak to them constantly. Meet them in their dreams. Block their attempts at corruption or evil. Convict them of sin, slander, lies and evil agendas. Break the chains that bind them to Satan’s purposes, and set them free to follow Yours. Place Christians around them who will speak wisdom, advising them from Your heart, and give those Christians favor. Make the way clear for every candidate for every position to see You as You truly are, experience Your invitation to salvation, and surrender to You as King, following You in all things. And God, we also ask You for a miracle, for courageous people in media with high standing to report the news with integrity, not bending to evil agendas, creating lies and covering up truth, but allowing all candidates to speak and make known their platforms, beliefs and plans, so there will be fair elections in every state with people making informed decisions. Wherever truth has been muted or canceled by those who are afraid people will vote sensibly, expose those lies, O God, and bring forth the results in these elections that You desire. Awaken every state to Your love and grace. Pursue us with Your love. Set us free from the ways we’ve been bound to enemy agendas. Remind us of why we are here on earth: to know You, to love You, to enjoy Your great love for us, and to love others through Your love. Pull us out of the darkness we have let our minds fall prey to, and set us free to run in Your glorious light, so we will know the only Truth who truly sets us free.
