Floods throughout the Earth

In western and central AFRICA, more than 1,000 have died and millions are homeless because of flooding in

• NIGER
• MALI (more than 487 dead)
• NIGERIA (more than 265 dead)
• CHAD

In EUROPE, at least 24 have died, many are still missing, and tens of thousands have been evacuated because of storm Boris in

• ROMANIA
• CZECH REPUBLIC
• POLAND
• AUSTRIA
• HUNGARY
• SLOVAKIA
• ITALY

In ASIA, Typhoon Yagi and now Typhoon Bebinca (the strongest storm to hit Shanghai since 1949) have caused destruction in

• MYANMAR (Yagi left more than 113 dead, nearly 250,000 displaced)
• THAILAND (thousands in need of rescue, and at least 10 dead due to Yagi)
• VIETNAM (Yagi left more than 250 dead, and around 139 missing)
• CHINA (four dead from Yagi and more than 400,000 evacuated because of Bebinca)
• PHILIPPINES (at least 20 dead from Yagi; six from Bebinca, plus 13,000 displaced, 11 injured and two missing)
• JAPAN (Bebinca blew off roofs and left other destruction)

In the USA, Carolina Beach and Southport, North Carolina, are flooded due to tropical weather, and hurricane Francine left New Orleans, Louisiana, flooded.

Father, please have mercy. Help those who are trapped and in need of rescue. When they cry out to You, answer them in mighty ways so that they know it is You. Provide shelter, food and clean water for those who have been displaced and others who are in need. Bring Christians quickly to their aid to show them Your love and to share Your Good News with the lost, praying for their healing and offering comfort to those who mourn. Provide so miraculously for those in need that they will know it is You and feel drawn to You. Give every person affected by these floods such a hunger for You they will seek You with all their hearts and find You. Bless Christians so abundantly they will gladly share of their provisions with those in need and use the opportunity to gently lift those who are hurting up into Your arms so You can carry them through this hard time. Father, in some of these countries, terrorists have persecuted Christians. Please use this time of need and suffering to turn their hearts from violence to humbly seek You. May they see Your love in the Christians who are sharing of their possessions with others, and feel drawn to You at last. Tear down every barrier. Lift the veil from their eyes so they can see You as You truly are and surrender to You. Awaken these nations to You, O God. Awaken the lost to Your salvation, and those who are saved to more and more of Your love flowing through them. Multiply Your church by the thousands, and bring about worldwide revival. Awaken every heart to the wonders of Your love. Bring from out of this tragedy something good and for Your glory. As You rebuild the nations after the floods, and provide for those in need, may Your name be praised in every home and village. In Your name, Jesus. Amen.
