Beginning now, and over the next few weeks and months, all across the US, people are making decisions that affect hundreds, thousands, millions, even billions of people, not just in our own country, but throughout the world. Some don’t have all the facts to make those decisions. Others do, but choose evil agendas nonetheless. Still others truly fight for good purposes to bless, not curse, those under their care.
Let’s pray all will encounter Christ, that He will place into position those who will follow Heaven’s purposes, so His Kingdom will come here in our country and on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Lord, we acknowledge that You are Sovereign and nothing in this world happens unless You allow it; and if You allow it, then it is because You are doing something good, whether we can see or fathom it yet or not. We trust You, Almighty God, to do Your great things both here and throughout the world. Turn all eyes to You. Topple every lie. Expose everything that is true. Press forth Your purposes wherever corrupt leadership seeks their own agendas. Bring down those who plot evil and raise up those who seek to follow Heaven’s agendas. As people vote throughout the US in the next few weeks and months, as our Senate, House, President and others make decisions, as media tries to sway people in certain directions, move hearts and minds to see things Your way, to choose Your purposes, to do what is right and good. Wherever evil is in play, expose it and make every heart hate it. Turn hearts to seek what is uplifting, what will bless, not curse, the people of this country and the world. Please bring forth the decisions that You desire, Lord. Don’t let us be overrun by political agendas or worry, but let us trust in Your sovereignty. Show Your people the part You have each of us to play in upcoming battles for our children, our cities, our nation and the world…. Show us how to PRAY, Lord. We want to partner together with You in all that You’re doing. Use us for Your glory. Shine through us Your love in the midst of prejudice and hatred. Speak through us truth in the midst of lies. Teach us to fight for what matters most. To fight for LIFE. For PEACE. For LOVE. And for SALVATION. Raise up into positions of influence in our government and all throughout every area of society those who love You with all their heart, who will open the way for Your Word to be preached, and who will choose to bless this nation and make it safe for our children for many generations to come. Awaken our nation to You, O God. Awaken us to stand down from hatred, prejudice and selfish gain, and to come alive to the One who is Love. In Your name. Amen.
