Let’s pray today by name for the remaining hostages who were abducted from Israel on October 7 and are still held by Hamas in Gaza, hopefully alive. Women are at the top of the list because of the added trauma they are likely experiencing. Please pray for God’s protection, provision (as food, water and medical care are scarce in Gaza), mental and physical healing, and most of all salvation and their quick return home.

O God. we lift up to You now each of these hostages. Protect them from harm, care for their needs, and open the way for their safe escape and rescue. Please be their Shield and Mighty Warrior. Place Your angels around them, especially the women. Let them feel You with them and see Your angels guarding them. Bring to their mind Scriptures that point to the Messiah, and meet them in their dreams to show them the way to salvation. Lift the veil from their eyes so they will see Jesus as He truly is. Give each heart a hunger for You so deep they will cry out to You in the midst of their anguish and fear. Then answer them, please, O God, and have mercy on them. Quickly get every hostage safely home to their families, and do it in such a way that they know it is You. Open the eyes of the terrorists around them to see Your angel armies guarding the hostages, so they will drop their weapons, hatred and evil intentions in fear of the Lord and fall to their knees in repentance. Get up in their face. Invade their space. Step into their dreams and give them visions of Jesus calling them to believe in Him. Show them clearly You are a God of love, not hatred, and that the god of violence they serve is false. Soften the hearts of every Muslim in Gaza to hate war and violence and long for Your love. Give them a hunger for more than the darkness and death they have known. As they cry out to You, answer them with Jesus. Visit them in their dreams. Bring Christians to them to share with them the good news. Connect them on the internet or in other ways, so they will hear the gospel in a way they can easily understand. Break their chains and set them free to receive Your love, grace, salvation and healing. Awaken all of Gaza and Israel to You, O God. And awaken us, as well, as we pray.
Please comfort those in Israel who mourn the loss of loved ones. Heal both soldiers and victims who have been wounded. For the multitudes who have been terrorized, both in Israel and in Gaza, please touch them and speak to them in evident ways. Rescue them from nightmares, traumatic memories and panic attacks. Fight for them and keep them from further evil. Do it in a way that they know it is You. Whenever someone suffering from anxiety and trauma cries out You, answer them. Speak truth from Your Word and peace to their hearts, showing them Your plan of salvation. Lift the veil from their eyes and let them see You as You truly are. Lion of Judah, ROAR. Speak LIFE, TRUTH and SALVATION over Israel (97% unreached with the gospel) and Gaza (nearly 99% unreached) and everyone else caught up in this fight for land seen has “holy.” Bring a quick end to this war and a safe return to their families for every hostage.
