USA: One man died and three were injured, including Donald Trump, whose right ear was nicked in an assassination attempt on the former US president at a rally Saturday in Butler, Pennsylvania.

NIGERIA: At least 22 died when a school building collapsed as students took exams on Friday. The other 132 trapped in the building have been rescued and are being treated for injuries at various hospitals.

GAZA: At least 90 Palestinians died Saturday as ISRAEL targeted two top Hamas leaders believed to have been hiding among displaced families in Al-Mawasi.

CANADA: A wildfire that was under control exploded to consume 22,000 acres, moving 13 miles in just four hours, when weather conditions changed on Friday. Nearly 10,000 people in Labrador City have evacuated.

Lord, please protect and rescue those in danger, heal the wounded, comfort those who mourn and rebuild the lives of all who have lost so much. When they cry out for help, come quickly to their aid and provide for them in such a way they will know You are the One who did that. Give the lost a hunger for Your love so fierce they will seek You with all their hearts and find You. Visit them in their dreams to show them Your salvation through Christ, and bring Christians to love them, care for their needs and share with them Your good news. Block future attacks of violence and bring evildoers to their knees in repentance and fear of the Lord. Awaken every heart in each of these nations to Your love, and multiply Your church. Raise into positions of leadership those who will open the way for Your gospel to freely be preached to every heart. For only You are the Way, the Truth and the Life, Jesus. Only in You do the nations find the meaning they seek. Only in You do we experience the forgiveness that leads to abundant life here on Earth and eternal life in Heaven. Don’t let even one more person die without hearing Your good news. In Your name we pray. Amen.
