Today marks four years since we opened the Prayer Wall to pray for our nation and for the world in the midst of these trying times. Thank you to all of you from the nearly 120 countries who have joined us here. Would you take a moment to share in the comments what this prayer space has meant to you?
For me, I would have to say the answers to prayer and miracles have been what have blessed me most, the joy of sharing the gospel with Muslims and others from countries closed off to the gospel who come here to the Prayer Wall looking for answers, and the privilege of joining together with all of you in what God’s doing around the world and in our homes. Thank you to all of you who have been an encouragement to me along the way.
Just before the Prayer Wall began, the Lord gave me a dream that the US government was trashed and unprotected. He called us to drive the prayers of the saints over the mess and into the structure itself, so laws could be made to effect change.
Then two years later, I dreamed we were inside surveying the emptiness — so much once there now gone. I had a notepad and began writing down all that was missing: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Galatians 5:22-23. The fruit of the Spirit — He is what is missing.
Our government is made up of people, so the only way it will change is for hearts and minds to be changed. And the only One Who can do that is You, O God.

Pray for Those Running for Office
Gracious Father, we ask You now to please come and bust through the emptiness and chaos in the hearts of every leader and citizen in this nation, and bring forth peace and order. Call us to Yourself in such personal, powerful ways, we cannot resist You. Raise up leaders who love You with all their hearts and listen to Your lead. Raise up prayer warriors who will pray for those leaders, and Christian advisors who will pray with our leaders, seeking You for Your guidance as they make decisions. For those leaders already in office and running for office and for their staff, we ask You now, Lord, to pursue them relentlessly with Your love and grace. Set them free from the chains that have bound them to the enemy’s purposes, and open their hearts and minds wide to choose You as their Savior and Lord. Bring Christians to them they respect and look up to, who will share Your good news in a way that reaches deep into their hearts and touches them in those empty spaces that long for meaning and worth. Show them You are the One they’ve been looking for, that only in You and through You will they have true power and wisdom. Heal our country, O Lord. Heal every heart. Heal our judicial system, our prison system, and every area that has been broken apart by selfish, ungodly and evil agendas. Mend breaches, where arguments have blocked us from moving forward in the things of Your heart. Change minds so that those without consciences will gain one and seek to do what is right and stop what is wrong. Place in bridges in every argument where they can meet and agree, so that important laws, reforms and protections can move into place to bless citizens and make this a safe place for our children’s children for generations to come. Reach into every heart and turn our eyes to You. Convict us of our sin and move us to make right decisions that help our neighbors and to vote for candidates who truly can make a positive difference in this country. Move us to vote Your way, Lord. Destroy every narrative fed by lies to lead people away from truth and to coax them into making bad decisions to pump up their agendas rather than joining You in Yours. Transform every heart and mind until our thoughts and ways are Yours. Isaiah 55:6-9. Make us hunger for You, turn to You, trust in You as our Sovereign, and come back under Your protection. For only united in You are we indivisible. And only in You is there true liberty. Only trusting in the Just One and handing every matter over to You is there true justice for all. Only in Christ are we free. Awaken this nation to Your love. Lift us up from out of the graves we’ve made for ourselves and give to us new LIFE.
