Israel Hostages, Japan Earthquake, USA Shooting

ISRAEL: The body of Dolev Yahod (m, 35), a medic and married father of four previously believed to have been taken hostage by Hamas, was found and identified on June 2 at Nir Oz. He left his home to save lives during the October 7 massacre but was killed that day. Still believed to be hostages in Gaza are Dolev’s sister Arbel and her partner Ariel Cunio, as well as Ariel’s brother David Cunio, whose wife Sharon Aloni Cunio and twin three-year-olds Yuli and Ema were released from Hamas captivity November 27. Thank You, Lord, that Dolev did not have to undergo months of captivity. Please comfort his family now. Continue to heal the minds and hearts of Yuli, Ema, and all children and others subjected to the horrors of Hamas on October 7 and beyond. Bring home quickly and safely Arbel, Ariel and the other hostages still held in Gaza. Be their Shield and Strength, but most of all, please be their Salvation. Meet them in their dreams and speak to them throughout the day, showing them the way to Christ. Don’t let even one more die without knowing the good news that their Messiah has come. As their families cry out to You, answer each heart in such a way they will know the Truth who sets them free. Awaken Israel, Gaza and all of the Middle East to Your love and peace.

JAPAN: A 6.0 and other strong earthquakes hit central Japan yesterday, collapsing homes damaged in January’s deadly quake.

Please be with those who have lost much, Lord. Comfort them and give them a longing for Your love and protection so fierce they will seek You with all their hearts and find You. Bring Christians to them to help them in their time of need and share Your good news in a way they can easily understand. Chase out every fear with Your perfect love, and awaken Japan to You.

USA: One person died and 24 others were injured Sunday in a mass shooting at a birthday party in Akron, Ohio. The shooters are still at large. More than 193 mass shootings have occurred in the US so far this year.

Please heal the wounded and comfort mourners. Be near to those traumatized by this event, and bring Christians to aid in their healing and counseling. Give police wisdom to quickly find and apprehend the shooter. Break the chains that bind him and all other murderers to the evil one, and set them free to receive Your forgiveness and salvation. Lord, so many young people growing up in troubled homes are choosing evil paths. Please guide every heart into Your arms. Bring the gospel into their lives in such a vibrant way they break free from the demons that bind them, and choose Your way of love instead. Awaken the USA to You, O God.
