The Lord woke me up quoting from Isaiah 52, especially verses 11-12. I felt Him calling us to freedom. To leave behind the strongholds that have bound us, and do what it takes to run in the joy of the Spirit’s leading, so we can draw others into His love.
A stronghold is a thought process or sin that has such a “strong hold” on you, it controls your reactions rather than the Holy Spirit.
If you’ve ever said something like, “I can’t help it,” or “This is just the way I am,” then you were probably referring to a stronghold (like anger, lust, anxiety, etc.)
The good news is that indeed is not who you are, and you can be free!
Today, ask the Lord what’s been holding you back from freedom and oneness with Him. Busyness? Fear? Doubt? Are you feeling so comfortable in your sin that it seems “normal” or “not so bad”? You even can’t imagine life without it? The real question is are you willing to do what it takes to be free? Tell the Lord, and ask Him to show you the way out.
