Praise God both Jordan and the US airdropped food bundles with tens of thousands of meals over areas of southwest and northern Gaza this weekend. Christians in Gaza City had asked us to pray for the Lord’s provision, as food deliveries had not reached the churches where they harbor since December. Last week, a convoy arrived near them, but more than 100 people died and hundreds more were injured in a rush to get to it.
Most of Gaza has never heard the good news that brings salvation. Today, let’s pray for the injured, the grieving, and others in need. Let’s also pray for discussions about a possible ceasefire and hostage exchange as Ramadan nears. The upcoming Islamic month of fasting to seek God coincides with our 30 Days of Prayer. Pray for Israel and Gaza in These Trying Times
Lord, we praise You that at least some food has arrived in Gaza. Please provide abundantly for the needs of Your people in the churches, so they can abundantly help others and share Your love with the lost. Please care for the wounded, grieving, sick, cold and hungry people all throughout Gaza like only You can, and bring Your salvation near. Make a way for the millions of lost Muslims who have never heard Your good news to at last find You. Invade their dreams. Speak to them as they sleep, as they wake and all throughout the day. When they cry out to You, answer them in such a way they will know it is You. Don’t let even one more person die without knowing Your great love and plan for their salvation. Now, in the midst of so much suffering, we ask You, Lord, to break forth a church planting movement all throughout Gaza that is out of control, with thousands turning from the hatred and violence of Islam to You, O God of Love. For You loved them so much You gave Your Son to die for them so they can be saved. Give every heart a hunger for Truth and show them Jesus. We pray also for every Hamas terrorist. Invade their space. Get up in their face. Break the chains that bind them to hatred and violence. Lift the veil from their eyes so they will see You as You truly are, and bring them to their knees in repentance and fear of the Lord. Have mercy on Gaza and on Israel. Awaken every heart to You and bring an end to this war. In the powerful name of the Prince of Peace. Amen.
