The blank stares you see on the faces of those trapped by drugs and trafficking, or under oppressive regimes like North Korea and Afghanistan, and in war-torn countries like Syria and Myanmar are real.
Our family has lived many years in one of the dark countries on the World Watchlist where Christians are persecuted. In fact, we raised our children there. We saw those blank stares daily on faces all around us. But we also saw many who had never before heard of Christ break free from their prisons of darkness and step into the Kingdom of Light.
When prayer is the work, missions happens.

- Pray for hunger for Christ in the hearts of every lost person all throughout the world.
- Pray for a great movement of the Holy Spirit in every nation, drawing all peoples to Himself.
- Pray for the Gospel to reach into every people group and language, especially among those who have no Bible or any Christian witness yet.
- Pray for protection from persecution and provision for every need in the lives of all Christians trapped in dangerous situations; for God to anoint them to boldly proclaim the Good News, even to their persecutors and bring many from darkness to Light.
- Pray for churches to be planted in the most unlikely of places, especially in closed countries under heavy oppression; for every existing church to multiply so extensively, Christians’ love and witness will bleed across borders and topple every barrier to the Gospel, until every person has heard the Good News of Christ.
- Pray for protection over children and young people from the negative influences of the world; for a deep hunger for Christ such that He is the only One they seek; for multitudes of young people, a chosen generation, called out to follow Christ and passionate for the Gospel, who will go where no one has ever gone before to share His love in even the darkest corners of the world.
- Pray for a Great Awakening to Christ in every heart in every nation.
