A New Name for the Prayer Wall

The names of Jesus in Isaiah 9:6-7 break apart the desolation and evil in today’s world with hope and light. Knowing the “government” is on Jesus’ shoulders gives us rest, not only in the midst of political conflict in our home countries, but also as we pray for those caught up in the horrors of terrorism and war abroad. We can ask Him to heal the minds and hearts of those who have endured terrible trauma, because He is the perfect Counselor. We can ask the Prince of Peace to show up in Muslim terrorists’ dreams and point them to Himself, because in all their efforts to serve God through violence and evil, they have missed who He is and serve Satan instead.

In worship to this Mighty God, and in gratefulness to all of you who join us here in prayer for the nations, we have two gifts for you and the Lord this Christmas.

First, the Prayer Wall now has its own domain name, making us easy to remember, so you can pop on from anywhere and easily tell others about us. Names do matter, and here we stand together in the Lord as a WALL against Satan’s plans, advancing the Lord’s through PRAYER. So, you can still access the website from our longer domain name in the old link, but now we are officially PrayerWall.pw.

Second, WordPress has been so kind to offer us a free website these past three years, but “free” has come at the price of some nasty advertisements I have no control over. This week, I felt the Lord urging me to pay the cost for those to be removed.

I hope you are blessed by both of these changes. Praying God will meet you and your family in deep, meaningful ways as you celebrate Christ this Christmas:

Lord, thank You for this place where we can meet together and pray for our nation and the world. Awaken us all the more to Your mercy and grace. Protect our families and provide for all our needs in the coming year. But most of all, use us for Your glory. Fill our homes with Your felt presence and block any enemy plans this Christmas. Guide all our conversations into You. Help us forgive one another and listen to each other. Tear down every wall of miscommunication, and help those around us feel safe to share their hearts. Use us to speak Your words of truth, grace and love. Wherever there have been feuds or grudges, please grant humility and courage to step over those walls and love. Give those who have wandered from You a deep hunger to draw near. Bring the prodigals home. Rescue those we love who are in danger. Heal those who are sick, wounded or overcome by trauma. Comfort those who are grieving. Save those who are lost. And give us all a joy-filled Christmas, Lord, with hope and faith in You for the New Year. In Your name. Amen.
