Hostages Found Dead Near Al Shifa Hospital

Hostages Noa Marciano, a 19-year-old Israeli soldier from Modi’in, and Yehudit Weiss, a 65-year-old snatched from her home in Be’eri, are now confirmed dead. Israeli ground forces found their bodies this past week near Gaza’s Al Shifa Hospital, which appears to have been used by Hamas terrorists as a command center.

The death of a 22-year-old agricultural intern from Tanzania also believed to be a hostage, Clemence Felix Mtenga, was confirmed last week, as well, although no further details are available.

For reports on those abducted by Hamas who have have now been rescued or released, or to pray for the remaining hostages by name, please visit our constantly updated Israel-Gaza page at the Prayer Wall:

Pray for Hostages by Name

As Israelis and those from Tanzania and other countries grieve the loss of loved ones and worry for those still held hostage, we ask you, Lord, to please surround them with Christians who will love them in ways they can clearly feel. Open up conversations that lead them to salvation. O Father, in the midst of such terrible circumstances of war and death and horrors, please be Israel’s Rock. When each Israeli cries out to You, answer them. Rescue them from their enemies in such a way they will know it is You and praise Your name forever. Guard Israel’s borders and block militants bent on evil from entering. Hide those who are in danger so the enemy cannot find them. Give those in leadership wisdom at every turn to follow Your guidance, free their people, and bring home those who were taken captive. Provide quick and accurate intel and give ground forces wisdom to keep safe not only those who have been abducted, but innocent Palestinians, as well. Appoint Your angels to shield and fight for every hostage. Wrap Your arms around them, let them feel You near and meet them in powerful ways. Most of the hostages do not yet know You, Jesus, so please have mercy. Lift the veil from their eyes so they can see You as You truly are. When they cry out to You, answer them quickly and show them Your salvation. Let them know You are the One they have been looking for — their Home, their Comforter, their Guide, their Mighty Warrior, their Rock, their Healer, their Protector, and especially their Messiah. Meet them in their dreams and show them the way to salvation. Comfort those who are afraid. Heal those who are wounded. Provide water, food, blankets, medical care and other provisions for all who are in need. Keep them safe from sickness, rape, torture, gunfire and all other harm or abuse. Use Christians among the hostages to encourage and share Your love both with those held captive and their captors. Shine so brightly in the darkness that the tunnels light up with Your glory, Your voice is heard loudly, and Your angels are seen visibly. Bring terrorists to their knees in fear of the Lord. Show up in their dreams night after night to tell them that all those murders, rapes, kidnappings and abuses are an abomination to Almighty God. Strike them with such revulsion over their sin that they drop their weapons of hatred and murder, and surrender to the God of Love. Then show them Jesus is the one and only Way to salvation. Block their evil plans and give them a hunger so desperate they look for You with all their hearts and find the One whose name is Truth. Break their connection to the demons that control them. Set them free from strongholds of violence, murder and death. Open their ears to hear You and their eyes to see You. We ask You, Lord, for miracles. Blind the eyes of Hamas guards, and then guide and shield the hostages to safely walk past them to freedom.
