Myanmar’s Displaced Once More on the Run
Let’s join together to pray Psalm 28 today for our brothers and sisters facing terror and violence:
When Your people in Burma are in distress and call out to You, be their Rock, O God. Hear their cries and answer them. Don’t let them go down to the pit. When they call to You for help, hear their cry for mercy. When they lift up their hands toward You, be their Most Holy Place. Don’t let the wicked drag them away. Give them discernment to know which neighbors harbor malice in their hearts, even those who are cordial, and keep Your people from betrayal and harm. This war has stretched far too long with countless terrorist acts against Your people. Please show Your way of salvation to every evildoer. Meet them in powerful ways and draw them to You. But if they do not repentant, bring about Your justice quickly upon them. Repay them for their deeds and for their evil work; repay them for what their hands have done and bring back on them what they deserve. Because they have no regard for Your deeds and what Your hands have done, tear them down and never build them up again. Lead Your people to praise You, even in the midst of such trials. Hear their cry for mercy. Be their Strength and Shield. As they trust in You, help them. Cause their hearts leap for joy, and songs of praise rise to You. For You, O Lord, are the Strength of Your people, a Fortress of Salvation for Your anointed. Save Your people and bless Your inheritance. Be their Shepherd and carry them forever.
