Lord, sometimes it feels as if the enemy is assaulting us from all sides and the fury of all that comes against us is greater than we can withstand. But no foe is bigger than You, O God, no army mightier than Your power, no assault greater than the protection of Your love. We choose now to fix our eyes on You. 2 Chronicles 20. To be still and let You fight for us. Exodus 14:14. To wait upon You. Isaiah 40. To watch and see what You will do. For Your thoughts are higher than our thoughts, Your ways greater than ours. Isaiah 55. When we think we’re surrounded, why is it that we forget YOU are the One who surrounds us? Come and fight for us, glorious God. Fight for our children. Fight for their future. Fight for their eternity with You. Fight for our loved ones who have lost hope. Fight for those suffering greatly for the faith. Fight for the lost who have yet to hear Your good news. Fight for those who fight for life. Fight for those bound by strongholds and addictions. Set us free to worship You. To stop all the ways we’ve been fighting on the enemy’s side against Your people and against the lost, and to remember who our true enemy is. Ephesians 6:10-20. To stand at last as one in Your mighty power, armored with Your love and strength, and fight the right fight. Stand up for us, Lord. Stand up within us and give us strength. Wrap us in Yourself as our Shield. And we shall be strong. Awaken us to Your truth. Awaken us to our purpose. Awaken us to faith, to hope, to love. And the greatest of these is Love.
