Pray for Congress (Isaiah 51)

Lord, the members of Congress are so human, just as we all are. Some truly love this nation and want to do what is right, but many are about their own agendas, dangerous to this nation. Please remove from office every member of the House of Representatives and Senate who is bent on Satan’s agendas, and replace them with upright people who listen to You and have the courage to do what is truly right. Expose every lie, every selfish or foolish plot, and bring forth Your good purposes. Block every enemy scheme, Lord, and place prayer warriors in office who will truly care for this nation, listen to Your voice, and follow You. Meet every member of Congress in such powerful ways, they must bow to Your Sovereign authority. Save them, O God. Give them a hunger for You, and lift the veil from their eyes, so they can see You as You truly are. Get up in their face, invade their space, and speak to them so convincingly, they will lay down their own agendas, and fight for what is right and good. Give them courage to stand up against those who threaten them. Expose every evil plot, and bring to justice those involved in it. Restore Congress’ purpose, Lord, to listen to wisdom and our nation’s needs, and agree together to pass just and fair laws that will bless and care for citizens, families and businesses. Remind them, Lord, of what they’re in office for, and give them courage to do their job, not the enemy’s.
