A Prayer for the USA from Isaiah 59

Lord, have mercy on us, please. Do not let evil prevail, but punish evildoers and every act of deceit, attack and corruption. Bring forth Your purposes, O God, and overturn the enemy’s. Come and be who You are. Overturn evil, and let righteousness, justice, peace, truth and salvation break forth across this land by Your mighty right hand. And save us, O God. For we need You. Desperately. Turn the tables in Your favor. Awaken every heart to You. Get up in our face. Confront us on our sin and bring us to our knees in fear of the Lord and repentance. Take down leaders, criminals, media influencers and others bent on evil, manipulation, violence, oppression and destruction. And raise up those who will follow Your lead and open the doors for salvation, justice, hope, righteousness, abundance, peace, faith and freedom to reign. Give every heart in the USA a hunger for You. Awaken us to Your love. Show us our need for salvation. And awaken Your church to lay down all our idols to worship You alone. Embolden us to share Your good news with the lost and to live out pure lives filled with faith and love as a testimony to Your greatness. Overcome our fear with Your love, and replace our anxiety with faith. Each one of us has a part to play in the crises of the days ahead. Show us Your ways, Lord. Give us Your instructions. And empower us to obey. Use us to shine Your light in this present darkness and overcome in Your mighty power. Ephesians 6:10-20.
