What has your mind dwelt on lately? What subject has moved you into heated conversations? And how are you shining Christ?
There are topics the world has taken on that may not be what God is saying or the focus He wants us to have as His bride. He has given us one task: Matthew 22:37-40. Today, I felt Him leading me to share with you a word for the bride of Christ He gave me in my quiet times with Him. It’s rather long, so grab a cup of coffee and pull out your journal, in case this word is for you. Love you all!
Do not listen to what the world is saying today. Do not join in their song. For you are set apart, My beloved. You are Mine. If you sing the wrong tune, when the day of evil comes you will fall. Stand strong, My beloved, in what you know is right and true. Not because the world argues that way, but because My Word places you in the center of Truth. You must know what is true and what is a distraction. What is my heart and what is philosophy. What is life and what leads to death. What is truly love and what is a mere worldly imitation.
My beloved, I do not do things the way the world does, and the truths I call you to believe in do not fit in human understanding. You must have faith. For I am not like the world. I am not mortal or confined. I am Lord God Almighty, and I never fail. I never lose. I never fall. And I am ever here. With you. Through the trial you are going through right now. And the next. And the next. You do not need to readjust your reasoning or grab hold of a false truth to make you feel better about the evil that is happening. Evil has existed from the day Adam and Eve chose sin in the perfect garden I gave them. It is here in this world because man makes the choice to follow and perpetuate it. But you, my beloved, what will you choose?
Do not hold fast to the lies that drive this world to current topics. There is only one topic on My agenda. Matthew 22:37-40. And it is love. Love Me with all your heart, and love others. Do not let others’ responses to you dictate your response in kind. For you are not like them. You have been redeemed. Now act like it. Do not attack those who attack you. Do not tear down those who tear you down. Do not repay evil for evil. For vengeance is Mine, not yours. Yours is to love. You do not win this fight with well-articulated earthly arguments. For this is not a fight against the human in front of you. Your foe is far more dangerous than that. Indeed, he is already crouching at your doorstep. If you grab that thought the world says is right or “just” and begin speaking it and pushing it, you will be fighting on the wrong side. Whether you know it or not.
Wrong is wrong. Right is right. Truth is what I say is true. Not the world. Not a politician. Not a crowd. And certainly not a wrong-focused lie straight from the enemy’s mouth, no matter how many people yell it.
You must know My Word. Know My heart. Know what True Love looks like. It is not what the world says it is. It is much more spectacular. It is sacrifice. Giving up your life to save another. Can you do that? Would you do that? Is that how you’re loving your children? Is that how you have loved your spouse? Your neighbor? Your frenemy? Your leader?
O My beloved, you will not know true joy and peace until you walk in true love, selfless love, like the love I showed you. It is not selfless love to lay down your life and then think constantly on what you have lost and how much you could have had if you didn’t sacrifice to help another. No, that is still pride. Lay down yourself here at the foot of My cross, for here is where you will find rest. Look to My unfailing love, and let Me flood you with My provision, My glory, My joy, My everlasting peace. For I am the One you were created for, not that earthly comfort or great circumstance you think you have lost. I am your Reward. Those things will not fulfill you or bring you joy. I am your Joy-Maker. Your Fulfillment. Your Peace. What you live for. Only when you live for the love of the One who never dies will you truly know the peace and rest of mind and heart that you are seeking through vain earthly arguments and anger at those who do not agree with you.
Lay them down. Lay them all down. And follow Me. Only I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. Apart from Me you will never have the peace you fight others for. Don’t fight against people. They are not your real enemy. Be still. At My feet. Head bowed. Listening to My Word. Then step out into that darkness with My light, speaking the words of Truth My Spirit flows through you. The words of Love. For I am Truth. I am Love. This is how you change the world. Not repeating what others have said. But walking as one with the One who is Love.
