Our world is barreling fast into places of no return. We must throw off our sin and the thoughts that spiral us out of control, rise up and walk with the Lord now, as one with Him, or we may not make it through what is to come.
The days are coming when you must pick a side. Either I am God Almighty who speaks, who heals the sick and raises the dead, who calls you to leave your sin behind and walk in step with Me, or I’m not that to you.
It’s time you truly believe and live as My disciple. I am Alive. I did not die when the Bible was finished. I am alive in your heart and mind, actively drawing you to Myself. If you evade My advances and busy yourself with the worries of this earth, you will miss the part in this coming storm I have chosen you to play.
Now is the time. You must lay down your mat at My feet. Ask Me for healing. For your ears are stopped up with enemy lies, and your eyes are blinded by the garbage around you and on the media. Your limbs are paralyzed with fear — and, worse yet, apathy— so you no longer move in Me.
You have become blind, deaf and lame. Now, what is there to do but to lie on your mat at My feet and beg for money to ease your pain? As if it could. As if something of this world could ever reach the holes in your heart that gape to matter, to be noticed, to make a difference, to be loved, to do what you know I’ve been calling you to do all along. TO WALK IN STEP WITH ME.
The first step you have taken. You have begged — like the lame man at the gate (Acts 3) and the blind man at the roadside (Mark 10:46-52) — for Me to supply your need for money or whatever you think you need to survive this.
But now, I say unto you, My beloved: Your sins have been forgiven. Take up your mat and WALK. (Mark 2:1-12) Open your eyes and SEE. Listen and you will HEAR.
And, yes, even the demons who have held you captive to those strongholds and addictions you have struggled with so long are no problem for Me.
I am who I am. It’s time you believe it and truly live as My disciple.
I haven’t stopped talking to you. I haven’t stopped working in your life. I haven’t stopped healing. And I haven’t even stopped providing for your needs.
It is you who have stopped following close behind Me. My footsteps are still there before you. Why did you stop a mile, then two, then more behind? To dawdle? To do things your way? Now, I’ve walked out of sight for you and you blame Me for your feeling so far away. I’m right where I’ve always been. Calling to you: Come. Follow Me.
You laid your mat down — you made your bed — in a place far from My glory. In depression. In anxiety. In pride. In doubt. In lust and pornography. In ache that you strive to dull with alcohol or drugs. In busyness. In self-importance. But that is no bedrock. That is sinking sand.
Come. Follow Me. Take up your mat and WALK WITH ME.
