The National Day of Prayer is already up at this link, for those who want to prepare:
National Day of Prayer
Consider inviting friends and neighbors to your home to pray, getting together a prayer group at your church, setting up a conference call or zoom meeting to pray, or inviting others to join you on a prayerwalk in areas of your city God has laid on your heart.
If ever our nation has needed prayer, that time is now. A prayer today for the USA based on Isaiah 51:1-6:
Lord, it’s easy to feel, “I’m just one person. What difference can I make?” Give us courage to not give up, but to persist in prayer, listening to You and pursuing the things of Your heart. Comfort us, O God, and have compassion on the ruined state we’re in. Touch every heart, save us, and transform the deserts within us into areas of rich growth and intimacy with You. Pour out Your love upon us, and renew our joy with praise and thanksgiving to the One this life is for. Open our ears to hear You. Make Your instructions clear. Guide us through these trying times with our eyes on You. Make Your justice a light unto the nations. Draw near to us now, Jesus, and restore our righteousness through Your loving sacrifice. Save those who are lost. Lift our eyes up to fix them on You. And heal us, O God. Rescue us from the violent and all those who oppress. Remove from office leaders who are bent on evil, and replace them with those who will bless this country. By Your mighty arm, bring justice to this nation. Perform signs and miracles and wonders to point us to the God who loves us and created us to love others through Your love. Remind us that our troubles are momentary, and the things of this earth will pass away, but Your salvation lasts forever and Your righteousness never fails. Father, we ask You now, please draw near to those who are lost. Speak to them throughout the day, meet them in their dreams. Draw them away from darkness into Your light. Flood this nation with Your love, and awaken us to You.
