Come join us on May 4 for the National Day of Prayer.
This past month of prayer for Global Awakening has been intense for me. Has it been for you? Praying for 6 billion lost people, especially those with no portion of Scripture at all in their language, can feel overwhelming. Let us not grow weary, either in prayer or in sharing Christ’s love.
In still so many countries throughout the world, Christians are persecuted and seekers are beaten, even killed, just for asking about Jesus. That reality is all the fiercer for our family, because we raised our children in one of those countries marked in red on the map below. Most of the people we secretly shared the Gospel with had never heard God’s name before they met us, much less Jesus’. Imagine living your whole life never knowing about the One who loved you so much He died to set you free!

If you couldn’t join us March 21-April 23 for the month of prayer for Global Awakening, but would like to set aside a separate calendar time to do that, I will keep the 30 Days page up on this website. A paperback and e-version of the full-color book, 30 Days of Prayer for Global Awakening, Vol 2, which you can use with prayer groups or in your personal quiet times with God, is also available at MoreThanAConquerorBooks.com. It is undated, and we will most likely use it again next year for March 11-April 9, 2024, if you want to get your whole church or other group involved.
Another exciting idea for families or prayer groups is to set aside one day a week or one day a month to pray through the different countries or regions of the world. With Dinner and a Prayer, you can deepen the experience all the more by cooking fun recipes to go with the each prayer emphasis and involving members of your group in research of countries and/or unreached people groups.
Consider regularly prayerwalking your neighborhood, city, schools and other places God leads, looking for opportunities to share God’s love. Pray for the lost to find Jesus, for an outpouring of God’s love in our churches, and for Christians to grow in faith and be lights in the darkness.
Did you know that unbelievers in countries where there is much persecution often reach out over social media to find Christians willing to share the Good News with them? If they found your profile, would they know you’re a Christian? If they read your posts would they find Christ?
Today, pray and ask the Lord how He wants to use you to shine His light among the nations. He didn’t say the task would be easy. His very death on the cross proves the world will be against us if we follow in His footsteps. But He did promise to be with us. Matthew 28:19-20.
Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, “With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”
Matthew 19:26
