Provisional Release for Pilot Ryan

We praise God that missionary pilot Ryan Koher and the two elderly South Africans, W.J. du Plessis and Eric Dry, who were detained together with him, have been granted a provisional release from prison. Their case is ongoing, so they must remain in Mozambique at this time. Let’s pray the final outcome will be a full release from any charges or trial.

Ryan has talked with his wife, Annabel, and his two boys multiple times now and he is doing well.

The three Christian men were detained while preparing Koher’s plane to deliver vitamins and other needed items to orphanages in northern Mozambique. They have been in prison for four months, and left late Tuesday afternoon. Koher’s Cessna 206 plane was released about two weeks ago and is back safely in the hands of Mission Aviation Fellowship (called Ambassador Aviation in Mozambique).

Lord, thank You so much for this provisional release, and for protecting these three men from harm. Please give them favor with everyone involved in the case and bring forth a full release, no charges and no trial, so they will soon be home with their families. As they wait, use them any way You desire for Your glory. May all who meet them or hear of them feel drawn to You because of their kindness, forgiveness and peace.
