Vanuatu is reeling after two massive Category 4 cyclones and two earthquakes (magnitudes 6.5 and 5.4) hit within just a couple of days. Cyclone Judy smashed the chain of Pacific islands midweek, followed by twin earthquakes early Friday and Cyclone Kevin soon after. Let’s pray for those in need:
Lord, we thank You for Your protection during the storms and earthquakes this week. Please wrap Your arms around those who are mourning losses. Provide for all their needs and help them rebuild in such a way that they will know it is You. When they cry out to You, hear their cries and answer. Bless Christians abundantly in Vanuatu so they will also abundantly bless others and share Your Good News with the lost. Open the doors of churches to provide shelter and other provisions for those in need. Cast out fear with Your perfect love, and awaken every heart all throughout every island of Vanuatu to You. From out of this terrible trial, bring forth new life, hope and peace. Show the way to salvation to those who have been running from You, and give them courage to repent and choose You as Lord. Rebuild their lives, this time on the Solid Rock as their foundation. May Your Kingdom come to Vanuatu. In Your name. Amen.
