Outpouring Spreads Far Beyond Asbury

Over the past couple of weeks, a sweet outpouring of the Spirit has flooded Asbury University in Kentucky, drawing 15-20,000 people to that little town of 6,000, healing relationships and setting people free from addiction, anxiety and other strongholds. As college students worshipped the Lord around the clock, confessing their sin, reading Scripture, and opening their hearts to fully receive His love, He poured it out. And then spread it to more than 20 university campuses across the US.

At Lee University in Tennessee, round-the-clock worship began last week with students opening their hearts wide to the Lord, kneeling, praying, weeping, confessing, and praising. This week in Kentucky, University of the Cumberlands felt the outpouring, and Campbellsville University is seeing miracles and transformation. At Samford University in Alabama, student-led worship flowed from 9 a.m. to 3 a.m. daily this week. At Baylor University, McLennan Community College, Texas State Technical College, and Texas A&M worship, repentance, sharing Scripture, prayer, healings, and baptisms are just some of what God is doing in Texas.

Some college students took to the streets to share Christ with the lost over the past week, and many have surrendered to be pastors, youth leaders, missionaries — history-makers for His glory. All of this contagious worship has been student-led, which is miraculous in itself, because various studies say on average 70-80% of young people growing up as faithful church-goers leave the faith once they leave home. But on these campuses, even those who went to college deciding never to step foot in a church again have found themselves in round-the-clock worship services transformed by the felt presence of God.

Reports of the Spirit moving in deep and miraculous ways are now emerging from other countries as well: Puerto Rico, China, Brazil, Canada, Venezuela, Ethiopia, Jamaica, Spain, Uzbekistan, are just a few that are mentioned. In Uganda, hundreds are coming to the Lord, experiencing miraculous healings, and one man was even raised from the dead. The Philippines has experienced mass conversions and baptisms for many years now. And India has seen hundreds come to faith and many churches planted in recent years.

If I’ve left out a campus or country, please share in the comments, so we can rejoice with them, as well.

What a God, right? Here we are, preparing for our 30 Days of Prayer for Global Awakening March 23-April 21, and He’s already jumpstarted it!

Lord, we see You moving, the way You’re pouring Your love out over our youth, and all throughout this world. Thank You, Jesus. We ask You for more! O Father, pour out Your love in increasing measures and unprecedented ways over our children, our churches, our marriages, our families, our work places, our friendships, and over every heart all across this earth. Don’t leave even one heart dry. Save the lost. Heal the hurting. Bring the ruthless to their knees. Lift up the lonely. Mend what’s broken. Set the sinners free. And begin, O Lord, in me. It is Your love we crave. Satisfy us now with that everlasting flow that never runs dry, that love poured out for us on the cross that purifies, transforms and sets us apart, glowing with Your glory. Ignite our hearts with such love now. May we become Your love-spreaders, history-makers by Your hand, implanting Your truth in hearts and watching it grow unto salvation. Because that’s what You do, Lord. You Love. Forgive. Heal. Save. Awaken us to Your love.

Please protect these new believers and those newly ignited with passion for You. Keep their pursuit of You pure and grounded on Your Word. Purify their hearts and give them the mind of Christ. Teach them to measure their thoughts and what others say about You by what Your Word says. Empower them not only with Your love poured out, but with truth, wisdom, Heaven’s viewpoint, and anointing to preach the Gospel and disciple through Your leading.

“You heavens above, rain down My righteousness; let the clouds shower it down. Let the earth open wide, let salvation spring up, let righteousness flourish with it; I, the Lord, have created it.”

Isaiah 45:8 NIV
