Believe

I have not stopped moving. I have not stopped speaking. When did you stop moving with Me? When did you stop listening? 

I’m right here where I’ve always been, doing the things I always do. When did you step off who the Word says I am and believe whatever you think makes you feel better about your sin or unbelief? 

The days are coming when you can no longer live in that place. You must pick a side. Either I am God Almighty who speaks, who heals the sick and raises the dead, who calls you to leave your sin behind and walk in step with Me, or I’m not that to you.

Listen and you will HEAR. Open your eyes and you will SEE. I am who the Word says I am. 

Lord, in what ways have I not believed Your Word and that You are who You say You are? What aspects of Your unlimited power have I not trusted? As if You’re not big enough to perform the miracles I crave. As if what You did in Bible times was only for the people of that day. As if You wouldn’t do that today. In my life. In my situation. In this trial I’m facing right now. O Father, I surrender my opinions and worries and lost dreams over to You. I lay them at Your feet right now. Do what You will in my life and in this situation. For Your way is perfect. Remind me You are God and I am small, human, Yours. When my worries loom large, it’s as if I want to squeeze You into a tiny box, like You’re not truly powerful if You don’t do what I want. But what I truly want, what I NEED is You. More of You in me. Invade my thoughts. Remind me who You are. And work in my life all things together for good as You conform me to the image of Your Son who gave His life for me out of Your endless love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
