On Sunday, ten children died when a boat carrying 25-30 students on a day trip from school capsized in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan. Nine are still missing.
On the same day, a bus plummeted off a bridge in Balochistan Province, killing 41 people, the third such incident in that state this year (At least 22 died in June, and at least 19 in July.).
Then on Monday, dozens died during afternoon prayers at a mosque in Peshawar. All this comes at a time when Pakistan is still recovering from terrible floods this summer that killed more than 1,000 people and displaced 33 million.
Lord, please have mercy. So many people have died without the chance to know You. They will spend eternity now apart from You. And with so much unrest in Pakistan, yet more are in danger of dying. Please, Jesus, make Yourself known now to every person in Pakistan. Meet them in their dreams, talk to them throughout the day. Make Bibles appear in their midst. Open up internet lines and lead searchers directly to the Gospel. Part the way for Christians to enter the country to help with aid and counseling. Give them favor with authorities, and use them to share Your Good News widely, Lord. Use such terrible tragedy to bring about a new movement of Your Spirit in Pakistan with millions coming to faith. About 828 unreached people groups live in Pakistan, comprising 99% of Pakistan’s population. They live in fear daily, devoted to religion that cannot save them. Please, Father, step in and save this nation. Don’t let even one more person die without the chance to know You and experience the joy of salvation and eternal life.
