Let’s pray for those mourning the deaths of loved ones after a tragic plane crash this weekend near Pokhara, Nepal. At least 68 died, and four are still missing.
Lord, please comfort those who mourn. Bring Christians to them to show them Your love. Give them a hunger for You, for only You can bring them joy and peace in the midst of such sorrow.
Father, so many Nepalis have never heard about Jesus’ sacrifice to set them free. They don’t know about Your endless love or the eternal purposes You created them for. Give every lost person in Nepal such a longing for more that they seek You with all their heart and find You. Set them free from the chains that bind them to the demons they worship and the idols they bow to. Frustrate every effort of shamans, and convince them You alone are the Way, the Truth and the Life.
With 258 unreached people groups and Hindu extremists targeting Christians and closing churches, persecution levels are so high, Nepal is ranked one of the most dangerous countries in the world for believers and seekers. Please surround every Christian and church with Your angel armies and protect them from harm. Give them favor with leaders, neighbors, family members and others. Disciple every Christian and ground them so strong in their faith that all the fruit of the Spirit flows out of them constantly. Make others around them take notice and ask them how it is that they can still have peace in the midst of hardship. Bless them so abundantly they also bless their neighbors. Perform signs and miracles and wonders to turn all eyes to You. Awaken all the peoples of Nepal to Your truth and love, O Lord. Make the way for Your Word to be translated into all their many languages, and begin a church planting movement in each of those. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in every heart in Nepal.
