What calling has the Lord laid on your heart? Have you said yes yet?
There is power in surrender. Proverbs 3:5-6, John 5:19.
Lord, teach me to surrender my everything to You. All my hopes, my dreams, my fears, my thoughts, my opinions, my plans, my family, my career … everything to You. For You are the One this life is for, so what am I living for if not for You? Whatever I think I need so much that has been holding me back from Your purposes, I lay that down now at Your feet. Give me courage to rise up and follow You wherever You lead me. To do what You say. To love as You love. To give as You give. To speak Your words of Life to this lost and dying world. Show me the lonely, the hurting, those whose need for You is crying out to them to find You. Lead me to them to share with them Your Good News. Now. Before it’s too late. Nothing in the way anymore. Just this child of Yours choosing to obey my King. Because I love You and I want to see the lost come to You so they can enjoy the abundant life You created them for. Raise me up to be Your servant, O God. I am weak and I need Your strength. I have lived so much of my life for myself. This is the year I want to live for You. Every day. Every moment. All the time. Flowing in Your Spirit’s power to obey.
