Let’s pray for those in California who have lost homes, businesses, property, and especially loved ones in storms this week.
Lord, please have mercy on those who have lost much. Speak tenderly to them and comfort them. Remind them of Your saving power, and urge them to cry out to You in their need. Then come and meet them in such powerful ways they will know You answered. Bring Christians and whole churches to their aid quickly. Provide Christian counselors and those who will distribute food and help rebuild homes. Abundantly bless Christians to abundantly bless those in need. As they share of what they have, let Your love, peace and joy shine so powerfully through them, the lost will turn to You, even those who have long hardened their hearts against You. Let this be the year that thousands come to faith in You in that state.
Give every heart in California such a hunger for You they seek You with all their heart and find You. Place Christians in their path to show them Your love. Perform miracles and signs and wonders to draw all people to You. Awaken every heart in California to Your truth and love. Compel them to stop seeking the things of this world that are here today and gone tomorrow, and seek Your everlasting love instead. Whatever they crave, make it so dissatisfying, they drop that pursuit and find You. Wherever there is thievery, corruption, greed, abuse, anger, violence, perversion, prejudice or lies, demolish that enemy plan and bring forth truth, righteousness and salvation. Remove from favor politicians and influencers bent on personal gain. Instead, raise up true leaders who care for and bless the citizens, not oppress.
Lift the veil from the eyes of those who see only what they’ve been programmed to, and let them see You instead. Convince them of their need for You and for what is good, and give them courage to vote and promote the things of Your heart. Turn the tables around for California, so that instead of the land residents flee from, it becomes a safe place to raise our children. Make a way for every person to attend a strong, vibrant church that will help them grow. Raise up pastors, leaders and lay people in every church who will brave the perils of opposition and love people at the deepest level. Change the face of the land, Lord, not by earthquake, flood and fire, but by passionate hearts beating with Your heartbeat, loving like never before. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
