What did God do in your life this past year? Did you ask Him at the beginning of 2022 for a word, verse, vision, purpose, or something else He wanted to speak over the year? If so, please share in the comments what He was showing you and how You saw Him do that this year.
Has God given you a special verse, book of the Bible or something else as a theme for 2023 yet? How will you purpose to draw all the closer to Him, and let His love flow through you to others this coming year? Ask Him. And then share with us in the comments. It will be exciting to look back at the end of the year and see how He did that.
The word the Lord gave me in January for both 2022 and 2023 was “Step Up” — not as in work harder or lose more weight or get all the busier, like the world often thinks of — but to
1) Step UP out of an earth-centeredness into Heaven’s viewpoint and purposes. Every moment. Like a shift out of where we’ve been and into Christ Himself. A deep, deep HUNGER, a MOVEMENT of the Spirit, a drawing that pulls us UP out of our earthlyness to focus Heavenward, such that our worries and hurts fall away in the light of His faithfulness and love. Our focus turns to what He is doing, and we rise up out of our self-centeredness and join Him in far GREATER things.
2) Step up to the front of the battle line. Because He’s amassing an army, and calling out those who will hold out the Light and point the way so the ones He is calling to join in that army will know where to gather. Will you join us?
