We MUST fight NOW for the things that matter most, or our children aren’t going to make it in this cruel and twisted world. Already, the enemy has begun weaving into their experiences and thought processes lies to combat whatever truth they have learned. He is ruthless, and so we must also be ruthless in fighting for our children’s holiness.
Father God, please give our children such a hunger for You that they fix their eyes on You and never look back. So many worldly influences swirl around them now, seeking to devour. Shield them from demonic assaults. Don’t let them fall prey to addictions and lies. Break every chain and set them free. Slay the enemy that seeks to slay them. We say “No!” now to satan’s plans for our children. Where he plans death, we speak LIFE. Where he seeks to destroy, we claim the power of Christ to build up and ESTABLISH our children fully in Kingdom purposes. Where he seeks to steal, we steal back now, in the name of Jesus. We declare our children do not belong to satan, but to CHRIST, who died in their place to give them a permanent seat in Heaven, They are not satan’s to steal, for You have said in Your Word, O God, “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6. So we claim Your promise. Hold fast to our children. Give them wisdom for every decision, both large and small. Endow them with resistance against the enemy, firmness in faith, hope and love. In fact, we ask You, Lord, to raise up our children as mighty warriors for Your Kingdom, fighting for freedom, truth and love. Give them a pure, holy passion to know You and follow You wherever You lead. Make them Your instruments for peace in this world where so many around us war against what is right and true. Guard their bodies. Plant them firmly in the identity You have given them as sons and daughters of the King, perfectly formed by Your hand. No mistakes. For You do not make mistakes, O Creator God. And Your purposes are not only right, they are PERFECT, for You are Perfect. Blind our children’s eyes to pornography. Make it constantly unavailable to them. Whenever the enemy tries to show them something they should not see, knock out the electricity, website or device. Intercept his interceptions. Only You truly “hold the ball,” O God. This is not a game or a competition, for You have already won. Fight for Your children’s hearts now, O loving Father. Make the way for their salvation. Even while they’re young, prepare the way for them to know You in deep and intimate ways. Visit them in their dreams. Knock the enemy out of their nights and fill their sleep with You, with Love, Truth, Hope, freedom and Light. For You, O Jesus, are the Light of the World. Dissipate the darkness everywhere our children wander. Protect them from harm. Hold their hands. Guide their feet. Focus their thoughts and eyes on You. And propel them into Your purposes. We need a generation holy, one that will rise up and confront the powers of darkness with the armies of Light, that will speak for the heart of the Father and offer salvation to the nations, to those who are dying in darkness. We need youth whose passions are not for lust, but for the Kingdom of Heaven, for the things of Christ, for love, peace, hope and justice as only You can give. Surrender them now unto You. Don’t let them fall to the lies of the world regarding gender or other choices. Give them humble hearts who see their need for Christ and give their lives to serve You. And make us, their parents, guardians of Truth, gardeners along with You to grow them up into strong, fruit-bearing trees that do not waver when the storms come, but only grow all the stronger for the rain. Give us wisdom and courage to eliminate from our home the temptations that lead us astray. To dig into Your Word together as families and let You set us afire with love for Truth. To love our spouses and children and others, even those who sin against us, as You first loved us. For then, through example, our children and the whole world will see what Your love is like and be drawn to You. Give us the mind of Christ, O God. Purify Your church. Purify our youth and children’s leaders. Purify the parents, the kids, the teachers. Raise us up as a mighty standard to wave before the nations that this is the One they’ve been waiting for, this is what God can do. Use us to perform signs and miracles and wonders by Your hand. To pray for the sick and see them healed. To love on the lost and see them saved. To disciple Your people and see them grow. To counsel the hurting and see them set free. Deliver us and our children from anxiety, depression and defeated mindsets. Teach us to expel the toxic poisonings of the enemy that have already entered our system, and to breathe You in, Giver of Life. Arise now, Lord of All, and scatter Your enemies. Draw our children up into Your arms. To stay. Forever. In Your love. We ask this in Jesus’ holy name. Amen.
