Point Us to Truth, Lord

Lord, so many think themselves wise but are consumed with the one purpose of slandering and promoting lies. James 3:13-18 says:

“Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy (fierce desire to promote your own idea) and selfish ambition (rivalry, party spirit, divisive spirit) in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such ‘wisdom’ does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.”

So, we ask You, Lord, to silence those who promote demonic “wisdom,” and to expose every lie in such loud ways, every person in this nation will KNOW it’s a lie, and feel embarrassed to believe or promote it. Transform our hearts, and point us to Truth. For Your name, O God, is Wisdom. 1 Corinthians 1:26-31. Point us to You. Be our Sovereign, O God, and place in office those who look to You as their Wisdom.
