Praise God two Christian prisoners in an Iranian prison known as the “torture factory” were recently released without explanation.
Both Nasser Narvad Gol-Tapeh, a 61-year old Christian man and house church attender, and Fariba Dalir, a 51-year-old mother and house church planter, were charged with “acting against national security” because of their underground church involvement. They were unexpectedly released two and three days after a fire broke out in the prison due to explosives shot by government protesters in the current crisis raging throughout the country. Neither they nor the other ten Christians remaining in Evin Prison were harmed in the attack, which killed at least four inmates.
Let’s pray for the miraculous release of the ten Christians remaining in Evin Prison and all Christians held in prisons throughout the country because of their faith in Christ.

- Pray for the remaining prisoners in their daily struggle to survive, for their health and protection.
- Ask God to turn the guards’ attention away from them and protect them from abuse.
- Pray for a Paul and Silas moment (Acts 16)—that the Holy Spirit would move in the minds and hearts of prison officials as they witness the captives’ faith.
- Pray that God will increase hope and faith in the hearts of the families of Christian prisoners as they miss their loved ones and endure the hardship of their absence in their lives. Pray for the wives of prisoners forced to raise and care for their families on their own.
- Pray the public outcry in Iran is not only heard but also is acted on at the highest levels. May there be fresh winds of religious freedom and toleration in Iran and throughout the Middle East.
