Nearly every day in the news we hear of one more way a church or Christian leader has compromised, embracing worldly viewpoints and sin, bowing to those idols. This is nothing new. For all throughout the Bible we see God’s people bowing left and right (pun on present political idolatry) to anything but Him.
But cleansing of the church begins with our own hearts. Is there any way you have compromised? Is there some way you have embraced what people around you believe in or bow to, rather than standing on the Word as your Truth, and following Christ’s lead alone in what you say and do?
Don’t bend the Word to fit your will. Bend your will to fit the Word!

Let’s renew our covenant as the bride of Christ. We are betrothed to Truth, now let’s all-out live for Him! Let’s pray for our pastors and other leaders, that they will pursue oneness with Christ like never before, and our churches will rise up to be the beacon of Light we were created to be in this dark world, so the fallen and the lost around us will be drawn to Love like moths to a flame.
May the Light grow now. Not the darkness. Oh, God, give us passion for the things of Your heart. May we shine for You so brightly, the darkness hightails it and runs.
2 Kings 17:7-23
