North Korea’s Need for Christ

Yesterday, North Korea marked its 28th missile launch this year by firing two short-range ballistic missiles just off the east coast of the Korean Peninsula. Let’s pray for this Communist country counted as the second most dangerous in the world (next to Afghanistan).

Lord, please bring an end to the reign of terror in North Korea. Pull out from under Chairman Kim Jong-un’s feet everything he is standing on, until he falls on his face before You in repentance and surrender. Meet him in his dreams. Invade his thoughts throughout the day. Show him who You truly are, and whenever he makes a brutal decision, especially against Christians, show up in front of him so that he can SEE You. Give him such fear of the Lord he will release every Christian from prison, stop parading as a world power and hand all power over to You, for You alone are Sovereign. Give those who hate what he is doing to his country and his people the courage and wisdom to rise up and open the doors to freedom and peace, so the Gospel will be freely preached and every person in North Korea will know the way to salvation. Wrap Your arms around every persecuted Christian, especially those who suffer in prisons and labor camps. Shield, strengthen and rescue them. Let them feel Your presence so near that faith, hope and love radiate from them, drawing others to You. Speak so powerfully, performing signs and miracles and wonders by Your mighty hand, that the fame of Your name races across the nation like wildfire, igniting every heart with desire for the One who sets them free. God of Miracles, we ask You to perform a miracle in Kim’s heart and in the hearts of those who have supported and obeyed him. Bind up the demons that control them, break through the darkness with Your light, and ignite within them such a fear of You and hunger for Your love that they will repent, choose salvation and let You set them free. Release the captives, O God. Lift the clouds of darkness, break every chain and awaken every heart in North Korea to You. Isaiah 51:7-16.
