With all the disturbing news of late, let’s pray for our children today….
Lord, we ask You for a shield of protection around our children. Please, Father, guard them with Your angels. Fight for them. When evil and harm come against them, stand in the way. Protect those who protect our children, and remove from positions of leadership those with evil agendas. Save the children, Lord. So many are growing up in abusive homes, not knowing Your love that brings freedom, joy and peace. Make a way for every child to hear Your Good News in a way they can easily understand and be saved. Give parents courage to step out of the dark traps and addictions that have imprisoned them and reach for You, O Living Hope. Rescue entire families, and pull them into loving communities. Make our churches a safe place for those who have endured much darkness to be warmed and infused with Light. Wherever there is prejudice, tear it down with Love. Wherever there are lies, demolish them with Truth. Wherever children have been battered inside or out, O Father, please heal them by Your mighty hand. As the days grow darker, we need You all the more. Protect the innocent. Protect parents who seek to grow their children up in healthy environments. Place in the life of every child someone who will love them into Your arms. Save and heal the hearts of abused children who now abuse others. Give them a hunger for You that drives them into the path of Light-bearers who will shine Your love in such powerful ways, they will abandon the evil course their lives have been on and choose a new, holy one instead. Renew their minds with the mind of Christ. Raise up our precious children to be a generation holy, set apart unto You, courageous leaders, armed with Love and Truth, who change the tide of the battle.
