Praise God at least 250 victims have been rescued from trafficking in Cambodia this year through an ongoing joint operation between Vietnamese and Cambodian authorities.
Teens in Southeast Asian countries are especially vulnerable to the lure of jobs with good pay in Cambodia promised by traffickers who take the time to become their friends first, then steal them across the border and hand them over to those who hold them for ransoms of up to $30,000, which their parents are required to pay for their return.
Lord, thank You for these who were rescued. Please continue to use authorities and others to rescue all the more. Guard and guide those who brave danger to help others escape. Be a Shield around every victim and meet them in deep, powerful ways, letting them know You are with them and showing them Your love. Get Your good news to them, O Lord, and save them. Bring Christians to them to help them to safety and offer counseling. Draw them up into Your arms and carry them safely Home to You. May lost victims hear of Your great love, believe in You and be saved. For all eternity. Tear down every trafficking and other crime syndicate by Your mighty hand, and bring kidnappers and abusers to their knees before You in repentance….
