Nuns Abducted in Nigeria

Four Catholic nuns were abducted Sunday at gunpoint in Iwo State, Nigeria. Let’s pray for their safe release and for protection over other Christians in danger. Last year, an estimated nearly 6,000 Christians were martyred for their faith worldwide, almost 5,ooo of those in Nigeria. 

Lord, please be a Shield around these women. Don’t let any hurt or harm come to them. Bring to justice those who abducted them, and set these nuns free. Surround them with Your angels such that their captors can see them, and bring them to their knees in repentance and fear of the Lord. Use the nuns to share the good news of salvation through Christ, and open the minds and hearts of their persecutors to see You as You truly are and surrender to Your love….
