Haiti: Families Torn Apart by Violence

At least 315 children and adults took refuge this past weekend in a local high school to flee gang violence in the adjacent neighborhood of Cite Soleil. A Catholic-based community group has provided a few mattresses, but most have been sleeping on the concrete floor. Many of the children sheltering there are without their parents, either because they are missing or the gangs would not permit them to leave Cite Soleil. (AP)

Lord, please protect the innocent and reunite families that have been divided by violence. When they cry out to You, answer them in such a way that they know it’s You. Open the way for them to hear Your good news and be saved. Draw them up into Your arms, heal their wounds, and comfort them…. (Continue praying here🙂
