Influence and Favor

Lord, we ask You to pursue every person of influence in this nation. Give them a heart that hungers for You. Show them how the ideologies, the politics, the fame, the power, the money, the temporary pleasures, the things they run after have no meaning and cannot satisfy. But how, when they love, when they give what they have to the poor, when they forgive and treat others kindly, when they speak the truth rather than repeating lies, when they do selfless acts that help others, … joy and meaning begin once more to flood their hearts. Remind them that YOU are Truth, Love, Joy, Peace. That the very things they truly want in life, deep down inside, are the very names You are.

Sovereign One, please give Christians favor among all people. Empower us to live up to Your name. May we be known by Love and Truth, rather than prejudice and hypocrisy. Tear down walls of prejudice, pride, politics, control, slander, fear, hatred, violence, defensiveness, anger, immorality, selfishness, abuse, vengeance and lies in this nation. Place the people of Your choice in media, government, courts, schools, school boards, universities, companies, organizations, communities, Hollywood, music, and in every area of influence who will effect change. Use them to bring forth life, blessing, hope, peace, safety, freedom, healing, understanding, love, unity, forgiveness, kindness, purity, family values, safe environments for our children, and more. Protect those who protect what is right and good.

Save the lost. Heal the brokenhearted. Awaken this nation to You, O God. Make us once again one nation under God. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
