Shining in Battle

This is not a battle of sickness versus health, black versus white, gender versus preference, party versus party, or country versus country. Those are just earthly skirmishes skittering around the deeper issue at the core.

Every voice clamoring to be heard was created for abundant life through Christ, and He is pursuing each one of us relentlessly.

We as Christians have a very specific purpose in the midst of all the mayhem. It is not to feel anxious or panicked. Philippians 4:4-7. And it’s definitely not to slander. James 4:11-12. Those are reactive distractions the enemy uses to keep us from our purpose.

We are to SHINE. For this is a battle of Light versus darkness.

Now is the time for bearers of the Light to rise up in His power and shine like never before. To make such a loud, love-filled noise together as one that all eyes turn from what the enemy has had the world focused on to look straight at Jesus’ glorious face, see the flame of love burning in His eyes, and surrender to His grace.

Every light must shine in these dark days. Matthew 5:14-16. As our light joins with others’, we overpower the darkness with Christ’s glory together.

Don’t worry about how others treat you. The small skirmishes throughout the day are but a distraction. Fix your eyes on Christ. Hebrews 12:1-3. And LOVE. No matter what. Love God. Love others. Matthew 22:37-40. And PRAY:

  • For a rending of the darkness. A rip in the core of every heart, until all we have stood for that is not Christ is torn asunder, and every gaping hole we’ve sought to fill with our own agendas is overflowing with Christ, who is LOVE and LIGHT and LIFE and Justice and Healer and Perfect Father and Desire of All Nations. Only He can do what every heart is truly longing for.
  • For every believer to shine so brightly in this present darkness that the lost will be drawn to the Light like moths to a flame. John 8:12.
  • For the Lord God Almighty to rise up and show Himself strong in miracles, signs, and wonders, in healings, dreams, and visions, especially among the lost.
  • That He will get up in the face of those bent on evil, and there will be a holy reckoning. Justice delivered by the Righteous One. Hearts transformed. Persecutors falling to their knees in repentance.
