The ninth sandstorm since April ripped through Iraq this past week, hospitalizing more than 1,000 people with respiratory problems. Kuwait has also been affected, and Saudi Arabia suffered its second heavy sandstorm in just a few days.
But these countries face far greater sorrow, as their many peoples have been cut off from the Gospel because of religious, political, language and other barriers. Let’s pray today …
- For healing for those who are suffering now because of hunger and sandstorms, that God will bring Christians to them to help provide for their needs and share the Good News with such a demonstration of love they will surrender their lives to Him and be saved.
- For a hunger and thirst for Truth to grow within every heart all throughout Iraq, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
- For every person of every tribe and language in this region to hear the truth of Christ in their own language and surrender to His love.
- For God to be a Shield around every believer, seeker and church, guarding them from persecution and harm and giving them favor with Muslim neighbors, family and officials.
- For discernment, boldness and the Spirit’s anointing on every Christian to spread the Good News about Christ and shine the truth of His love through the way they live.
- For God to abundantly bless Christian families, set them free from their strongholds and build their faith, so through the Spirit’s leading they will help their neighbors and show them God’s love, demonstrating such hope, love, peace, joy, forgiveness, and wisdom they will earn respect in their communities, drawing many to Christ.
- For a Great Awakening to Christ in this region, with Christian churches multiplying by the thousands this year.
- For God to miraculously answer every prayer prayed in Jesus’ name, so the lame will walk, the blind will see, the dead will rise again, and millions will believe in the risen Savior.
