Today’s Prayers for Ukraine

As Russia celebrates its annual Victory Day today (defeating Nazi Germany during World War II), let’s continue to pray for those in danger and on the frontlines of the current war in Ukraine:

  • For an awakening to Christ in the heart of every Ukrainian and Russian; for the lost to hunger for Him so deeply, they will seek Him with all their hearts, find Him and be saved.
  • For God to meet, comfort, heal and save each of the 27 people rescued from a bombed village school in Luhansk; and the 300 civilians who have finally been rescued from the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol, where they were trapped for almost three months.
  • For doctors, soldiers and civilians still trapped or otherwise in danger in locations all throughout Ukraine, that God will meet them in powerful ways, draw the lost to Himself, and save them; that Christians among them will sing, pray and quote Scripture aloud, offering peace, joy, hope and the way to salvation.
  • For the thousands of homeless who fear for their future, that God will bring Christians into their path to show them His love, share the Good News, comfort them and help them rebuild their lives in His arms.
  • For families torn apart through this war, especially those without connection to loved ones, that they will cry out to the Lord and He will answer them, protect them, and bring them back together in such powerful ways, they will know He is their Savior and choose Jesus as their King.
  • For God to be a Shield of protection around children and refugees vulnerable to kidnapping or abuse, that He will rescue them from harm in such miraculous ways they will know it is Him, and step into His arms.
  • For God to give those bent on evil such powerful encounters with Him, He will break through their darkness with His light and save them.
  • For Christians to supply food, clean water, shelter, Bibles and other help for those in need, and share the Gospel in such a loving way the lost will see Jesus and choose Him as Lord.
  • For leaders and soldiers on both sides of this war to hear God’s voice leading them, meet Him in their dreams at night, and experience Him in such constant and powerful ways they will turn to Him and be saved.

Use this map below to pray for both Russians and Ukrainians in each of these locations to meet Jesus in the midst of this war, that all the enemy has meant for evil God will turn around for good, as thousands find Christ and grow in their faith.
